Merge - 2023
Wood, stone, fiber, metal, acrylic, collage, found papers
MERGE constructs an integrated topography of materials. The artwork functions as a physical fusion of elements, starting with the rough-hewn branch that anchors the piece, leading down to the main body where deep textures are stacked and interwoven against a backdrop of aged documentation. It is an exploration of how separate forms can lock together to achieve structural and aesthetic synergy. I also ask it to remind me that diversity is key to strength and beauty.
